Pier to Peak Half Marathon 2010
I ran the Pier to Peak Half Marathon on September 5, 2010 in Santa Barbara, CA. The epic run starts at sea level at Stearns Wharf and finishes at 3,996 feet atop La Cumbre Peak. The views are spectacular!
Pistol Creek Wetland Center
I took a run to the Pistol Creek Wetland Center yesterday. The boardwalk features interpretive signs about the wetland habitat. It's a great place to visit for kids and adults alike.
Running the Grandfather Mountain Marathon 2010
The 43rd running of the Grandfather Mountain Marathon was held July 10, 2010. It was a perfect day for a marathon with cool temps in the early morning at the race start. The marathon started in Boone, NC on the track of Appalachian State University and ended at McRae Meadows on Grandfather Mountain where about 15,000 people were gathered for the Grandfather Mountain Highland Games. It's a great thing to be greeted by bagpipes at the end of a 26.2 mile run!
Running in Beaver Creek, Colorado
I had a great time running in Beaver Creek, CO in the spring. It snowed early in the morning and then melted off by mid-morning.
